Grants between £5,000 and £10,000 are now available through the Healthy Communities Small Grants scheme to help projects in the region after money has been raised by the Health Lottery.

The charity The People's Health Trust will be responsible for deciding how the money will be spent and which community and voluntary groups will be supported. The charity is looking for organisations that help people lead healthy lives and live longer.

Any organisation or group wishing to apply for the grant will need to meet the criteria which includes "aim to support an improvement in health and well being in your community.
